About Christa Cardwell
In 1987, Christa moved to Boston from Farmington, Connecticut to attend Northeastern University. Immediately upon arrival she fell in love with the city’s historic architecture, the cobblestone streets and the small town village feel that flows throughout each neighborhood. With a natural eye for design, Christa was initially drawn to a career in print and interior design which eventually led her to a position in marketing and photography at Gibson in 2005. While taking photos and writing about each of the company’s exclusive listings, she developed a clear understanding of each property’s individual and unique qualities—all the details that make a house a home. It is a craft she has perfected and now applies to her own real estate practice by offering full staging services through her company Pretty City Boston LLC. Christa stages her own listings with a property-specific approach, resulting in beautiful finished projects that look nothing like the typical staging we see everywhere. The results speak for themselves: close to 100% of her staged listings sell for over asking price and in record time, with several of her staging clients hiring her to design their new homes.
Christa’s clients—whether buyers, sellers, investors or developers—benefit greatly from her extensive knowledge of the Boston Metro neighborhoods. Her superior eye for detail, and her long-standing professional relationships with fellow agents, home improvement specialists, lawyers, and lenders make her a leader in the industry. Her strong work ethic, sharp problem-solving techniques, and expert negotiation skills have earned her the trust, respect, and referrals of hundreds of satisfied clients. In fact, Christa’s clients often comment that in addition to her business acumen, integrity, and professionalism, it is her affable nature and genuine humor that keep each step of a sometimes-stressful process continuously pleasant.
Christa has been recognized by RealTrends Verified rankings of top real estate professionals in the nation, is a member of Sotheby’s prestigious Club XV and has the honor of being chosen as one of Gibson Sotheby’s most respected mentors. To best serve her clients, Christa participates in ongoing education, staying current in changing laws, market trends, real estate technology, and client privacy and protection. In addition to passing the Massachusetts Salesperson exam in 2007, Christa passed the broker exam in 2019, becoming a licensed broker associate, and is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, the Greater Boston Board of Realtors, and the Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC). She also holds the Seller Representative Specialist, and the Accredited Buyer Representative designations, as well as the Resort and Second Property Specialist certification. In 2026, Christa enrolled in the Principles of Interior Design program at Boston Architectural College, in order to offer even more innovative and creative insights into the staging services she offers to her clients.
